The COPDGene study enrolled a complete of 10,300 persons; we one of them analysis the 3464 individuals who had Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease stage II to IV COPD1 and for whom there have been verified data that included quantitative CT analysis .Those persons who exercised at least 150 minutes weekly acquired vascular reactivity near normal levels of a nondiabetic person, in addition to encountering significant reductions in cholesterol profiles and markers of inflammation, which have been connected with heart episodes. Interestingly, the individuals undertaking exercise did not lose weight through the six-week intervention period, indicating the improvement in vascular reactivity was independent of pounds loss.
